On October 22, 2009, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has granted ACFI request for expansion into four neighboring states: Georgia, Florida, Mississippi and Tennessee.
In addition to Alabama’s 67 counties and all 95 counties in the state of Tennessee, the Alabama Regional Center now covers 38 counties in Mississippi, 52 counties in Georgia, and 39 counties in north Florida. The expanded ACFI Regional Center is shown in green:
On Wednesday, October 28, 2009, the President signed into law H.R. 2892, the
"Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2010," which provides
FY 2010 appropriations for the Department of Homeland Security, and extends
the Immigrant Investor Pilot Program for three years, or until September 30,
2012.
